Built by a speech therapist to make learning feel simple, playful, and meaningful at home.
hi, I am monica…
It all started during my student days as a speech therapist.
There was a special room filled with therapy materials, games, flashcards, and learning tools. I was always fascinated by how simple materials could help children develop speech, language, communication, and learning skills through interaction and play.
But as I began working closely with children and families, I noticed an important gap. Most of the materials available in the market were designed using foreign concepts and pictures that many Indian children could not easily relate to. Children were being taught words like “taco” and “hot dog,” while their everyday world was filled with idlis, dosas, chapatis, school bags, auto rides, and familiar Indian experiences.
That’s when the idea for SOL EDU STORE was born.
I wanted to create resources that felt meaningful, relatable, and engaging for Indian children — resources that reflected their real lives, cultures, routines, and experiences. Most importantly, I wanted learning to happen through play, because children learn best when they are actively involved, curious, and having fun.
Every product is thoughtfully designed to be:
- Play-based and hands-on
- Indianized and relatable
- Easy for parents, therapists, and educators to use
- Flexible enough to target multiple developmental goals
Today, what started as one small idea has grown into a passionate mission. Along with my wonderful team of speech therapists and educators, we continue to create meaningful, play-based resources that support children’s communication, learning, and development in joyful and relatable ways.
